I took these photographs between 1972 and 1980 in and around Vancouver, Canada, when I worked as a photojournalist, and with Greenpeace during the first whale campaigns. The black-&-white images were captured on Leica M3 and Pentax 35-mm cameras and with a Pentax 6x7-cm camera, using Tri-X film developed with Rodinal or Kodak D-76 developer. Some of these images appeared in newspapers, news magazines, and photography magazines during this era.
